You should ask that question on U2's training thread. Most of us are just guessing on those kinds of things, since the policies In the training world change so frequently.
Gotta remind the powers what be to ask our permission on that stuff first!

No one forced you to sign a lease, buy the equipment or get in the truck.
BTW... did you even read the lease before you started signing?da1 Thanks this. -
Sorry you had a bad experience, I have no plans of being a Lease operator, I am going FB company. With every New job I realize that there will be expenses for tools that are needed to complete the job. At least Prime provides you with the tools you need to get your work done and lets you pay for it a little at a time. If I can take home $400-$500 a week in the beginning I am fine, secondly not everyone with a 17 inch neck has sleep apnea! I have no experience as a truck driver but I do have ALOT of life experience, I am very happy to have the opportunity to learn from experienced drivers who are willing to let me in their truck to teach me how to do things the right way! Thank you to all the drivers who have provided me with advise I look forward to hopefully meeting you. I will be at the campus inn on May 29, 2012.
da1 Thanks this. -
that post sucks i didnt lease right off my trainers truck but most of the things mentioned in that post i knew about long before i went solo like IP said who made him sign the lease no one forces a lease on you the cost for the slp apnea mach is mentioned during orientation apparently so one didnt do their research b4 the signed on the dotted line....or solid

Actually sleep apnea machine was mentioned in the initial email I got from my recruiter as well as the equipment before I even stepped on Primes property.

I would agree on being diligent regarding expenses incurred by drivers whether you are company or L/O. I don't start with Prime until June 12th but I am already aware of the costs listed above as well as other associated costs not mentioned above. The Prime threads have been a wealth of information. If you don't know what you are getting into before you start it means that you just didn't look hard enough to find the answers you need to make an informed decision.MONT74 Thanks this.

Another reason to not lease WHEN YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE DOIN. Flatbed requires $2500 in equipment. You have to aquire the equipment so you have the ability to do YOUR JOB.
SuperShoe24 and jayhawker_1012 Thank this.
