Hello everyone:
As the title states, I was just recently licenced. Don't have any outlandish dreams or high expectations for this type of work. I've always been a grounded in reality kind of person. Started on this process, because minimum wage for 18 straight years and nothing to show for it was enough. Been through Chaps 13 and 7 bankruptcy and already lost 2 homes. Long as it's even a 50% increase in what I've always been making, I'm ready to give this industry a go. Had to give up on becoming a CPA, on account of going on medical leave and hitting my lifetime borrowing limit for bachelors degree. While training for this, everyone around me said I looked happy and smiled alot more. Which if anyone knows me, that just irritates me a little. But hey, I should learn to lighten up, right?
After graduating, got my licence and started the process of hiring with Roehl Transport. They're supposed to make me Midwest Regional once I complete their processes to prove I'm worthy of a chance. I've heard both good and bad with this company, but I figure along with the grains of truth, there are plenty of those who just like to scream and howl when things don't go their way.
So, like I said, I've grounded my expectations and been trying to mentally prepare myself for the worst.
