Dewalt here too, works great for my needs. No issues, easy to load and the end fits the zerk fittings snuggly, it does not fall off. I would buy another if stolen.

    This.

I tried 4 other (cheaper) pneumatic grease guns prior to buying the Lincoln...money wasted. Wasn't sure if I wanted to drop the cash on the Lincoln after my experiences with the cheaper brands...but had used a battery operated Lincoln gun at a previous employer and my ONLY complaint about it was with the batteries. We had 3, and I'd STILL wind up using the manual squeeze gun most of the time because either the batteries weren't charged or they didn't have enough juice to get through the job. SO glad I bought the pneumatic Lincoln...works as good as the battery gun, but without the battery issues. Only thing is dragging around the air line, but for a grease gun that just works without wearing out your hands, it's worth it.

I've had a Lincoln battery for three years with no issues. I think it's the 14.4 volt. The kid has a Milwaukee and does alot of service work with no issues. Once you've used one you'll never use a hand one.

That being said I grease my fifth wheel out out of a five gallon bucket with a six inch drywall knife.

I also back under the trailer just short and blow up the bags before locking it in.

Thanks for the feedback. I got a 10 pack of "Red & Tacky" tubes and a decent hand operated gun (Lumax with 22" hose). I'll give that set up a try.

I have to second the Milwaukee. Most powerful battery grease gun I’ve used.

I don’t use a grease gun for 5th wheels though. The absolute cheapest way to grease a 5th wheel is to buy a 5 gallon bucket of grease. Use a putty knife to apply. 5 gallons will last a long time.

On grease guns in general, I’ve found that the easier you make it to do the filthy job of greasing, the more you are inclined to do it. If you do your own chassis greasing, get yourself a nice powered grease gun.

Another thing I’ve found is a needle greaser that goes on the end of the hose. It’s small enough to fit between the rollers on wheel bearings and is the best way I’ve found to pack bearings. Sure beats doing it by hand and works better than beating packers that you can buy.

I'm saying this as a former user of Lucas grease for years, it's a fine grease, but I honestly think you're paying 2-3 dollars per tube for the name. There's nothing wrong with it, but I don't think the product it's self is that much better.

I got it for 5$ per tube. Do you have a better alternative?

Think I paid $25 for a case last time I bought it.
