Years ago, a local shop went out of business and the owner gave my Dad a 55 gal drum about 3/4 full of grease. That is our 5 wheel grease. It’s greased 4 truck 5th wheels for probably 20+ years, there is a little less than 1/2 left. I don’t have a clue as to what brand or quality it is, but it’s good enough for a 5th wheel. We keep a stick stuck down in it, just pull the stick out with a blob of grease on the end and slop it on there.

Dont ferget to clean all the old grease outta the retaining grooves from time to time.

I use a Fifth Wheel Teflon Lube Plate and just grease the pivot points and jaws on the rare occasions I drop my trailer.

That works great if you never swap trucks or trailers.

Same here. If you keep the same trailer it works well,

I've got the 12V Milwaukee. A great investment. A battery charge will last 6+ truck and trailer greasings, I don't use it to grease the 5th wheel however and I grease the truck about every 10 days or so.
HopeOverMope Thanks this.
