sure mistakes are made by everyone but there is a line that needs to be drawn and for me , you crossed it.

My phone. My trainer always had hers there. I didn't know I couldn't. I was playing music on YouTube. I never even tried to move it while the cop walked to the truck. I didn't know I couldn't have it there. And I know you people don't know me, but honest to God, had I known it couldn't be there it NEVER would have been.

I'm not at all a super trucker. Not at all. That was an accident. When I realized the truck was getting faster I made the dumb decision to let it roll. The distance between the downgrade and incline was less than a quarter mile. The distance between the downgrade and the incline total wasn't a quarter mile. I didn't take the weight of my load into consideration and I underestimated the steepness of the downgrade. The truck got up to 86 and under 45 in less than 15 seconds. When I reached the bottom of the grade and into the incline the police was pulling out behind me.
I'm not out here intentionally risking my life or the lives of others. It was a bad decision. A really dumb, uninformed, bad decision. I'll never do that again.

I meant uninformed because I didn't consider the weight of the load. I never thought the speed would get that high before I hit the incline.
Do any of you drive trucks???
This is my first year.
So you think i shouldn't drive again either huhn???
Have you ever made a mistake while driving a truck?

Your lawyer is going to try to appeal a judgement. I don’t think the lawyer will be successful this time either. I may be wrong, but the odds aren’t stacked in your favor. When does the appeal happen? Do you lose ALL driving privileges or just your class A? That’s gonna really sting if you’ve lost them all for 90 days.

If I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t have appealed it. Seems like a bad gamble and a huge waste of money to a lawyer that’s already failed. You’re gonna lose your job. See @Chinatown’s post about a possible job in 3 months.

Now now... trucking has some lessons.

Keep a eye on your RPM, if it insists on climbing you are downgrade more than likely. 81 is one long downgrades in places. 300 miles worth.

This isn't a lesson. If they suspend my license for 90 days I lose my job and I'll have a reckless on my license that will make it almost impossible to get another one after the 3 months are done. This is no lesson baby. This is an execution.
