Reckless driving is a criminal misdemeanor in VA, IIRC.Dan.S, 4mer trucker and warrior12345 Thank this. -
When my wife and I are rolling around town and she's driving, I'm gritting my teeth because she typically runs 6-10 over, like most people do.
When "I'm" doing the driving, it's usually in the far right lane at 5mph under the limit.
She's gotten used to it after all of these years. I've had to explain it more than a few times that that piece of plastic on my right butt cheek makes our money.
DON'T TAKE CHANCES.
I'm not in a hurry... especially off duty -

Get a lawyer. Never under any circumstances pay a ticket outright. That's admitting guilt. A ticket it's just a demand you show up to court.
It's a money game. Hopefully you find a good lawyer that knocks it down to a expensive parking ticket or something with no points etc.
The govt just wants their money that's why they have these revenue collectors. Give it to them in a smart way (with a lawyer)warrior12345 Thanks this. -
85 mph isn’t going to hurt a car lol.
I’ve done 95 for #### near a week straight in my 20 year old 4runner out west where they don’t enforce speed limits, it would be kind of hard to anyways seeing as you can see down the road 7 miles... Only thing it hurt was my mpgs.CorsairFanboy Thanks this. -
Yea 85 is nothing for cars nowadays. I've gone 150+ in a 55 for a few miles.
