99% of the trucks I worked on would have probably gone well over a thousand hours before hitting 25k miles. Can't really get up much speed dragging stuff in and out of the bush.

Werner used to go by engine hours instead of miles. Even though they were a OTR operation. That was 25+ years ago. Probably changed now. I suspect that had something to do with their Trucks usually lasting over a million miles, after they sold them around 350-400k. The company I’m currently working for changes oil @10k. All OTR miles w/APU’s. It’s overkill. About 25 are Coronados 12.7 Gliders. Detroit recommends 15k. I used to go 17-20k on my 12.7. It was pretty sludgy after 1.4 million. Used a lot of Lucas, after 1 million miles. After seeing how clean the 12.7’s at work are under the valve cover, changing oil every 10k. Even the ones w/700k+. I’m sold. It’s worth it. Haven’t done that myself for over 20 years when I had a Cat. If I start running mine again,( local or OTR ) my goal will be every10k, 12k max. Dump work is definitely severe use. I’d go every 10k, just from what I’ve seen. Keeps it clean. Less sludge. Dumps always have more issues with drivelines, brakes, everything, from being in the mud and sand. Need greasing more often. Air filters, No scientific evidence here just my opinion. I think it’ll pay off in the long run. Establish a trend with samples if you wish. Nows a good time to start. Oil sample should be taken mid stream in the drain process so I’ve always been told.

You're playing in the dirt. Expect to do more frequent oil changes and air filters then not playing in the dirt.
My mx13 used to run t4 and 12k miles. Now it's running delo synthetic and hope it stays that way. It runs cooler so I don't have to deal with the fan blowing dirt as much. -
Severe duty for the mx13 is 30k miles or 800 hours, whichever comes first.

10k miles or 250 hours whichever comes first

I run oilfield and we go 600 hours.
