I see a lot of great ideas, but don't waste your money at a truck stop. Buy your goods at Walmart, like the cooler. I'd get the CB somewhere else, too. I ordered my H-D Cobra LTD 29 online years ago. Same with my power amp for it.
Truck stops mark some stuff up sometimes 100%, meaning you'll pay double what you'd pay at another store. It's the "convenience" factor. That, and most people don't bother to shop around. Impulse buyers.

I forgot to mention that the Blue Parrot headset is a must for your phone!
Here's my list of goodies I carry.
LOTS OF SOCKS! I stock up at walmart, I think they're Starter brand that wick sweat... they rock!
Blue Parrot headset
IPhone on verizon
Ipod
Rand McNally 5" GPS and Rand McNally road atlas
Coleman cooler at walmart 70 bucks. I bought a 12 volt outlet splitter with a heavy duty cigarette lighter socket for it. This plug will melt any other splitter and will ruin your truck's built in sockets... the splitter with the metal innards has saved me this headache!
MacBook pro... i use my Iphone to tether for internet
5 and 10 lb free weight at walmart... like a dumbell or whatever. Gives me a way to exercise my arms on my downtime. I walk a lot every day, too.
LOTS of water. I like the Propel Zero waters at Walmart. Get them by the case
The 12v coffee pot... got it for 20 bucks at a truck stop. I use it to heat my water when I don't have access to a truck stop that has hot water to fill my thermos for making instant oatmeal.
Paper Towels, wet butt wipes (I never wipe with dry toilet paper, you'll rip your bung on some of the crap paper they have at truck stops), and plenty of tissues for those days you want to cry or just have to blow your nose in cold weather.
I stock up on plastic bags to hang on my passenger arm rest. Trash receptacle!
I also save my old water bottles, just in case I need to whiz in an emergency. If I have to resort to peeing in a bottle, I either pour it out in a dirt area discreetly or dispose of it responsibly. No tossing it out the window.
PENS!! I use the Gel pens by Zebra and the Pilot 07 and 10 point gel pens.
Windshield mounts with suction cups for my iPhone, GPS and iPod
Extra headlamp bulbs and wipers (Knight gives them to me if I ask for them)
Extra glad hand seals
Tools. You can't have too many these days.
Three gallons of oil, antifreeze, washer fluid and plain water. Plain water is just in case I get a tire that gets hot or catches fire... I save my fire extinguisher ONLY for if water fails. Or start with a bit of extinguisher to conserve it and then use water. If you get a tire that starts leaking and don't notice, you run the risk of overheating it and it can combust.
CLINDO! This stuff RULES for cleaning glass
External Speaker for CB and I like Cobra and Galaxy radios. Get yourself a noise cancelling mic. Don't worry about having one with a battery in it. The noise cancelling one by RoadPro is really nice. It says "Truckers Series Platinum" on the face of it. I love it.
WARM CLOTHES. I have my hats, beanie, carhartt and I also have long johns and waterproof boots from Walmart.
I also carry this cool cardboard box that breaks down and is rebuildable. I got it from Trader Joes when they tossed them out. I use this to toss my non-fragile stuff in whenever I need to empty my truck. I do this every time I get B-service or when I go home for more than two days. That way if they slip seat my truck, I have my stuff!
Little crates. 2 bucks at walmart. Keeps your bottles, squeege and other things together in your tool area. Priceless.
That's all I can think of for now. -
I buy all of my CB and electronic stuff on Amazon. Much cheaper!
Wilson antennas,Road King mics,ect...
The Coleman cooler was from Walmart.30 bucks less than the truck stop sells them.
I bought a radio a while back on Amazon for a back up radio.
Cobra 29 LTD chrome addition,69 bucks!
Had dual Mosfet finals put in and it is a 100 watt Cobra now.
It stays in the box and my Galaxy 44v gets used the most. -
It depends on the driver. Some drivers would call 911 if they had to drive 2 miles without a CB. I haven't had a CB in the truck for many years. I would declare an emergency if I forgot my MP3 player with a few hundred hours of podcasts. I even carry a spare MP3 player to my $30 Sansa Clip 8GB.

One of those basic socket sets from Sears that has a molded case to keep everything organized.
a 10 in 1 screwdriver (Klein). Available at Home Depot in the electrical tools.
Vice Grips, Crecent Wrench and Channelock pliers. Oh and a 3-5lbs sledge hammer.
a Seat back organizer.
a gear keeper for the CB mic. (automatically retracts the mic when you let go)
XM portable (easy to swap trucks) Laptop for movies and maps. Nook Color for books ( I read a lot).
