Drivers, beware of Red Box rental Kiosks. We rented from one, went to return the DVD's (3) and the machine was down. So we put them in the little black box on the side, and called in the return, as instructed on the side of the machine. Two days later, they took $119 out of our account for not returning the DVD's. Thank god we had written down the confirmation number when we called in the return. Took 4 phone calls and 3 1/2 weeks to get our money back. AND this all happened right before Christmas. They don't want to return your money, when this happens. We've never rented from them again. Too unreliable, as the machine is down more than its running.

    RickG Thanks this.

If you have any NetFlix subscription you can get unlimited free online movies . There re also sites showing latest theater releases . Who needs Red Box ?

You can return them at ANY red box location. Not just the one you rented them at.

I built a machine dedicated to this thats now our main source of entertainment in the living room. LOL Works great, and the picture is pretty decent on our 52" TV. Plus, you miss something on TV, you can catch up on Hulu, most times. :yes2557:

The desktop I built for processing video files also doubles as my "office" tv when I am home. (23 inch diag LCD flat screen monitor)
The "NEW" Windows Media Center has a NETFLIX option.
    Amazing.

Forgot to mention that hubby found that computer in a dumpster. LOL Loaded with Linux, still had the XP sticker on it, so I reloaded XP on it and everything was a go.

Cool! I have the XP Media Edition on this machine. Most stable machine since my Win 98 Machine. LOL

I'll have to look at the new features. :yes2557:

I'm doing the same thing. I have a box that does nothing but bittorrent downloads. I download it to one certain folder and then scan the folder for bugs. Then move it to a dedicated drive. I have some of the latest and greatest movies that came out this year. :biggrin_255:

Before anyone starts, I know the repercussions of this. I guess they will have to come and arrest me and my entertainment box.

    Luis and lonewolf4ad Thank this.
