I left an employer after 15 years due to them losing a management contract. I chose to go to CDL school and got a class B. I ended returning to old job with new management company at a lower wage as I was not having an easy time finding a job. I got a job driving a city bus and that did not work out as people were just "difficult" on a consistent basis. My previous employer welcomed me back and I am thinking of getting a class a. I do not want to go to a "cdl mill" again. Would I be considered a "job hopper" ? I am concerned that the above scenario would keep me from getting hired by Stevens.
THANKS!!
Red flag for hiring??

jmorgn...I don't think it will be a problem, especially with the 15 years with 1 company. Just be sure to list all jobs and you will be fine. Also it would be best if you had money to sustain you during training.

Thanks. I will have money to sustain myself during training. I am actually thinking of late summer to save some more money up just for this. Are you a Stevens driver?

Make a note in your application that the two jobs were the same company, but had gone thru a reorganization and restructering. You drove the bus during this period of restructure.

jmrgn...I see you are from Columbus...at the Palace we unload in that alley across from I think it is City Hall some kind of govt building anyway...not too bad actually.

Yeah, I have been in Cols for 20 years. I had a short stint working for COTA driving a bus for them. Some of the streets I had to go down were just like Lazelle Alley and Wall Srteet ( Columbus, not New York) You had like an inch on each side of the bus. That was an eye opening job. Public transit is 'different' lol. I lasted two months. People just freakin crazy!

I put 6 jobs on my last application from the last 10 years.
My current employer didn't seem to care.
