The center piece is usually made out of lead and easy to cut. "Usually". Not always.

Really don't want to be "that guy" but if you are grinding lead then you are throwing lead dust. Ingesting lead, either the 3,000 fps kind or dust, is not good for your health.

Really? Well, you don't gotta snort it while grinding on it. Hold your breath maybe? Get some PPE if you think it's that big of a deal? You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Nobody is standing there cutting dozens of seals off in a 10-12 hour work period. It's a thing that a typical truck driver might do a time or two in a week if that? I should be dead already all the cutting, grinding and spraying I've done over a lifetime without PPE.

The problem with heavy metals like mercury and lead is that your body isn't able to eliminate them, they just build up. Hat makers used to get exposed to mercury from the felt and that is where the expression "mad as a hatter" comes from, because they slowly destroyed their brains. Brain damage can also be hard to spot in this industry as well due to high levels of abnormal behavior. Do you know any old truckers that seem crazy ? It could be grinding seals, they might have been normal years ago.

As mentioned, the felco c7 is the way to go if you cut a lot of them. Replaceable jaws too.

That has got to be one of the funniest things I have read.

The receiver chick... snapped it off clean as can be... and you have to twist and turn and all that... the receiver chick with some clippers when you have a bolt cutter.

Once you got docked you should have gone in to find her, to ask her what she used and how she did it so slick like... and maybe married her.
