In places where they sell "discount" reefer fuel, which is nothing more than dyed fuel, it says right on the pump, "FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY". Why do you think that is? Because it's illegal to run it in ANYTHING on the road. That's why you pay less for it because it doesn't have the extra taxes in the price.

Now Rockinnrollin and Outerspacehillbillie, get the story straight as it's the same in OK and TX plus several other farm states. Sorry to bust your uniformed bubbles. I run a Farm-use pickup and we can use Red fuel. Read the rules I posted them and the site where you can get more infomation before you start reaming people out and embarrassing yourselves.
-
You better reread the rules you just proved yourself wrong!Rockin&Rollin Thanks this. -
You need to read the law as it says, a Farm use vehicle can be use don the hiway. I am not paying Fuel Tax on Farm use Fuel and I am legal. Stop at any livestock sale barn and tell all the farmers they are running illegal and they will laugh your butt into the street.
Rollover the Original Thanks this. -

I am not going to argue with you. It would just bring me down to your level.

According to the ASTM test standards, there are 7 grades of diesel fuel.
Three #1's
Three #2
and one #4
The differences are the sulphur levels and also they test carbon and potash on spent fuels among other things.
Besides the tax thing. Personal diesel vehicles have requirements on which diesel you use just like these newer trucks or you void warranty. The fuel injectors are subject to get deposits on them. -
did you drink some of that dyed fuel or can you just not read the law that you posted? Here it is again for you as you posted it but I will enlarge the print for you so you might be able to read it this time.
Please highlight for us where it says farm use vehicles can be used on the highway. All I see is where it says you may not use dyed fuel in any vehicle that requires registering which is completely opposite of what your saying.
