What is hauling a reefer like. As a new driver would anyone recommend it for a new driver. Does it handle the same as a van. Also does anyone know anything about KLLM transport

There's a bunch of info on this site about KLLM. Do a search and you should find plenty to read.

I have no issues with driving a reefer. A good portion of my loads are dry loads, even though I work for a refregerated company. The way I look at it you have the best of both worlds with a reefer. I have twice the chance to get a good load, since I can haul anything that can be put in a box.

I also have no issue with the sound of the reefer running when I am trying to sleep. I keep it on continous whenever possable so it is not starting and stopping, but even when it does I very rarely wake up.
This is probibly mostly due to the anti-idle setup on my truck. It has the cummons ICON system, so when it gets too warm in the cab the engine will start itself to run the AC till it cools down.
If I can sleep thru the tractor engine starting and shutting down all night the reefer is nothing.
