Yes; with reefer trailer you can haul refrigerated or dry van freight. With a dry van, you can only haul dry van freight. Your chances for staying moving and getting more miles are better with a refrigerated trailer.
smokeyjoe09 Thanks this. -
Yep with a reefer you have more choices even though a lot would say the reefer ways more. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the loads husband has picked up so far.

There is some stuff you won't be able to Haul for different reasons.

You can with some things. Customers don't like to paper because of the floor and reefers can hold moisture. And yes its true you can't nail to the floor but that were E-track is best. But your future will 90% greater.

I lost many loads when i had my reefer. It comes down to the Al Mighty Customer. The agents or brokers should be doing there job by asking the customer if they will indeed load a ''reefer''.Years ago the reefer was the trailer to have. You had 2 times the chance at finding a load.Customers did not care. That is not true anymore in the New World of Anal Customers. They are NUTS.
I had a load that was only 8 pallets. The customer did not want to put it on a ''reefer'',just because..He ordered a van and thats that.Customers today are NUTS.There is no ryme or reason for there madness.I am sure it is just what they ''ordered'' and thats that...So IMO,be careful.I will never pull a reefer again. That part of my life is over.I love the vans, less headache,MORE LOADS and less stress...good luck...droflex Thanks this. -
Don't forget on tall light loads they won't want to load a reefer.
