    Hi all,

Schneider Bulk told me today I would need to take a refresher course of some kind before I could be brought on board, due to the time elapsed since I graduated from CDL school (7 months). The recruiter told me it could be as short as a weekend course. The school I went to does not offer a refresher course of any length. Can anyone recommend any that are in proximity to north Georgia?

Check Community Colleges for Refresher Courses they tend to have better prices. Some companies like Roehl, Epes, Western, Covenant, offer them. Dart will hire with one year exp in the last 10.

Just wanted to follow up on this, folks. My community college that I took my CDL course from does not offer refreshers. Daly's wanted me to pay for a "1 day/40 hour course." None of the companies that interest me offer their own schools.

I've found some places that require refresher course students have experience driving professionally. As a graduate who hasn't yet gotten a driving job I'm considered unqualified!

So, that brings me back to my question (with a slight modification)...

Does anyone know where I can take a refresher course of short duration, as someone who has yet to be employed in trucking, either in driving distance from Georgia or within a reasonable drive to a major airport in another state?

I believe Katlaw in Austell offers a one week refresher course.
