Most companies will require drivers who have been off the road more than 6-12 months to take a refresher course. I don't know if SNI offers refresher courses you will have to check out their web site or call them.
If you could find a local job and work that for a year, most companies will not require the refresher course.
I hope that helped and best wishes in your endeavor. -
That does help thank you, I have had my trailer license since 18 yrs old and have driven for many years. But have been off for the past 8.

I too have been out of a truck for 8 years, and looking at hitting the road again. I have presonally been dealing with Swift since I drove for them before and it's easy to get back on with them for my situation. Since there were no issues with me when I was there and they have me down as rehireable, all I have to do is do a road test and go with a trainer again. They (Swift) require a 40 hour retraining program for anyone that had issues and got let go or they thought needed more training. Agreed it's best to find a local / small company that will hire you on without it. It might be worth it go to a local school and pay for a couple days of driving and pretrip to freshen up on it so you can pass without issues.

Going to check out a couple of local places and contact Schneider too. Thank you

Anybody needing a refresher course should check with Averitt . They have a higher paying , shorter refresher course .
