Just checking to see if my recruiter is telling me what I want to hear.
I read on this forum that Knight's Reefer fleet has fridges in the cab.
I called and asked him about this and he said he believed all of the fleet has them now, even dry van.
If my truck didn't have one I could request one and the shop would install them.
The same goes for inverters. Most trucks have them, if my assigned truck doesn't have one I can request to get one installed.
Is this true?
I need to know because it weights heavily in my decision to go with them or another company.

Knight's Reefer gets built in refrigerators and 2000 watt power inverters due to being away from home longer 3+ weeks unlike Dry Van. Knight is still in the process of phasing out their older tractors used to haul on the dry van side of things. However, that does not mean that every truck has a refrigerator or power inverter in them. It really is a luck of the draw when they assign you your own truck. You might get lucky and get a brand new Volvo, International, or Kenworth or you could get very unlucky. As far as requesting to have one installed (power inverter) at the shop it never hurts to ask. If it's an older truck you will have to supply your own fridge as they will only put a power inverter on it so you can run it.

Do they all have power steering and A/C?

Transport America had fridges on all there trucks when I was there. Now days it’s cheap and easy to put 1 in yourself.
