Most truckers now have TWO 150 gallon tanks, totaling 300 gallons of diesel. Average that out at about 5pmg and you will get about 1500 miles or more. Usually around 1500-2000 miles before having to refuel. You have to take into account WHERE the line is that draws the fuel into the engine...if on the side, less, if on the bottom, more...hope that helps. -
All of the company trucks I ran had 75-100 gallon tanks on each side. They kept them small for the weight issues. I was always sitting at 79,900 or so loaded & the company wanted to squeeze as close to 50k in the tanks as they could.
Most tanks don't let you use the last few gallons so if it says 100 gallons, only about 95 of that would be usable. -

i got totall of 200 gallons. fuel up everyday for the shower credits and points on the cards.
