Guys, Gals, a quick question. I found a lovely little Eaton Fuller RTLOF-16713A at ;my local salvage yard. I understand that the F in the model number designates this transmission as having a forward shift bar. My question is, can I just simply change the top plate to a standard shift bar housing? there's approximately 2.5 in. of difference according to Eaton's specs. But I can't find any info about changing the top plate. I think the top plate is the only difference. Any idea's?? Thanks.
