Hello,
I'm seeking a regional driving job in the Cincinnati area or somewhere close. Anyone have any suggestions for decent companies that pay half-way decent? I have about 16 months experience driving.
I'd love some suggestions for GOOD companies.
Thanks!

Check Holland, a division of YRC. They are up off Crescentville. With your experience you MIGHT be able to get the dedicated lace for Hogan doing Kroger bread. A&R Logistics, Sayler Park terminal off US 50.
SHOJim Thanks this. -
Check out Metropolitan Trucking out of Bloomsburg, PA. I believe you're in the hiring area. They're a good company with newer, well maintained equipment, an easily attained minimum weekly pay guarantee, 48 hours of weekend home time, free direct TV in the trucks, and good driver friendly freight.
I drove for them for a short while, and in my own personal opinion, they were the best OTR/regional company I'd ever driven for. Family situations pushed me back into a local position, otherwise, I'd still be there.

Thanks! I see A&R quite often and I see Superior Carriers quite often too!
One would think superior has a good lane around here with the amount of trucks everyday.
Holland! Shivers. Holland is pretty scary considering their pension issues. -
Highway Transport Chemical, in Florence. Tanker and hazmat required. Guaranteed pay.OHDriver Thanks this.

I saw them. I actually wouldn't mind them but I am a little worried about climbing on-top the tanker.

A scary pension, guaranteed by the federal governed, beats no pension - especially with free health care. I'm not a schill for them
I worked there for nine years, never had or heard of a driver come off the top of one. The dome is accessible from the ladder. Check them out.GoBucks43228 Thanks this. -
Continental Express in Sidney is always hiring. They run mainly Midwest regional home on weekends.
I didn't care for it, but they have some long time drivers so it works for some.OHDriver Thanks this. -
A&R Logistics in Columbus; home weekends and sometime through the week. $62K - $72K per year. Don't need any endorsements; don't even need tanker endorsement.
GoBucks43228 and OHDriver Thank this. -
They won't let you climb on a trailer without being tied off per OSHA mandate.OHDriver Thanks this.
