On an aluminum trailer, there is corrosion and rust jacking that affects the axle mount. The fix is they remove the axle mount, clean up the corrosion and put it back together with a gasket to prevent the metals from touching.
It is common on older Reitnouers, and it is something that I have to budget for this upcoming year. 2008 Maxmiser.
