No joke, Reitnouer said the aluminum has been recycled so many times it’s weaker. The trailer favored the passenger side, like the beam was weak. Also I middle axle was out 1/2 inch. Wore the tires funny, Reitnouer said it was caused by improper air pressure. I’ll never own another new Reitnouer. It was awful work, I called back to them when I got home. Asked them to buy it back and I would go buy a Mac like I should have done in the first place. The VP called me from his cell and apologized. Told me to bring it back and they would make it right. They should have done that the first time it was there. A friend of mine has a 2020 in the ship now with the same problems.

 

That sucks, this is my second one and ive never had any issues with either. I think I’ve only hauled one coil on this current one in the 6 years I’ve owned it. Mine still has the tires it rolled out of the factory on it too. The one o had before this one I hauled lots of concentrated weight loads on it with no issues. Maybe the older ones are better built than the newer ones?

 

Im on a 2013ish reitenour and run concentrated loads constantly, coils to 49k at least every other week, and its perfectly fine, 5th wheel cassette is due soonish (maybe a year or 2) but thats no surprise at its age.

 

I think the older ones were built better. I’ve hauled 65k single coils on a 05 maxmizer and held up. The last pictures was Reitnouers way of fixing the floor. This was a bigger bubba 3 axle tridem.
