ok so I am in truck school in California and I am getting close to my DMV drive date. To be ready with a job when I pass I was sending out the feelers to a few companies. Long story short, I have had my app booted out by a couple companies to to a poor work history. Some gaps in employment.
I have waited a LONG time to do this and would really love a bit of advice to get me going.
Thank you all in advance for any info you might be able to give.

Which companies have kicked back your applications?
Unfortunately, you may have to pay your dues with a "bottom feeder" company for a year or so. Werner, Swift...etc.
But then again, there may be small local company that would hire ya.
Good luck and keep us posted. -
Northern Refrigerated and Jim palmer.

It has been awhile since I applied with Jim Palmer, but I was kicked back because I did not have 2 years experience.
Keep applying, and some outfit will pick you up. -
Get a notorized letter signed by family or friends saying you were unemployed during those gaps and looking for full time work. There's just no jobs in your area. With those gaps you need to make some phone calls along with the applications to explain you have notorized letters explaining the gaps. Put in lots of applications. Some companies still won't hire you, but plenty will.
