That's not how it works in the real world.

As a company driver the only thing this will cost you is a bit of time and aggravation. As a carrier, you get with the produce broker and he will find someone to buy the product, you just gotta negotiate a fair rate to haul it to that location.

Charlie I got 2 suggestions for you and maybe other reefer haulers
    1. Invest in a pocket camera of sort to use as evidence of actions, conversation, claims, etc.

    2. Have an acct for court purposes. .05 cpm for example ( I think I'm on to something with this one)

Else, was the load sealed by the shipper? If it was I assume you HAVE to get paid. HIH

Oh. I must have been confused because that's how we handle it at our facility. And how our customers handle it as well if we've sent nonconforming product (torn bags, wet bags, etc.) Granted, we are very small and I like to think we stay on top of our customer service much better than big chain stores. (I consider drivers to be my customers as well).

How do you expect to stay in business if you don't pass the buck and lay the blame on the guy (small scale owner operator) who doesn't have the resources to fight back?

Once in a while they reject sometime.

Fine. Your trailer just became a frozen warehouse on wheels looking for a whole sale buyer to take you and unload your stuff. The food is fine but the packaging rips, tears etc REJECT!!! wholesale it!!!!!

    Now.

Meat? This one is OSD headache because they want the exact weight to the 10th of a pound plus barcode information on each meat item that is rejected so you don't go running down the dock and pocket a thousand dollars or something cash.

    25(2)+2 and Redbeard93 Thank this.
