Dump trucking with Hageman trucking in Dayton ohio has been horrible the past few years. We are wanting to relocate but not sure where.. I've been searching jobs in Florida but I'd rather hear opinions and experience from people who have actually been in the business. At this point im willing to go anywhere there is good work for my family. Any info will help. Thanks
Relocating from Oh to??

You wanting to stay with dump trucks or willing to go with other types of local work such as cement, line haul, etc. Las Vegas is growing and lots of new roadwork going on. There's no personal state income tax and no food tax in Nevada. Cost of living is good. Weather is good year round for dump trucks and construction. They're building a new interstate from Las Vegas to Phoenix; that should take a few years. "Interstate 11" is the number.

Interstate 11 is an Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of Nevada that follows U.S. Route 93 and US 95, officially designated by the United States Congress in the 2015 Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act. NearBoulder City, Nevada -
I'd consider TX, growing/booming economy, low cost of living, plenty of work, and the people are friendly. I personally hate florida with a passion and try to avoid even going there.
I know if I were to move I'd be looking at TX.
I'd stick to low cost states with good tax policy:
Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming ---- NO Income TAX
Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon ---- NO Sales TAX
New Hampshire is nice (I live in Maine) BUT very high property taxes and valuations. Plus its filling up with massholes.Chinatown Thanks this. -
only one problem. the money can come and fly away quick if he likes gambling -
You're right though, no place for someone addicted to gambling. There's some really nice neighborhoods to raise a family; that was my first priority. Clean neighborhood with good schools.
@ncdriver1 is right about Texas. I was torn between Austin, TX and Las Vegas, NV and finally settled on Las Vegas. -
