Basically....any other state would be a MUCH BETTER choice (but hey--you knew that one already, right? )....
Past that--ask these questions:
- What type(s) of freight would be involved?
- Where are your customers located?
- Where are desired future customers (if any)?
- What are the desired routes/lanes?
But be aware that Texas has also had serious power grid issues (and probably will again, in the future).

If I was going to move for trucking I would be looking at Georgia or NC for dry van. Rust belt for skateboard and the meat patch for reefer
