    Hello all,

I am looking to make a switch to tankers, here in the near future. My location - NY - seems to be an atrocious area to do such. I'm fine with that, as I'd like to relocate anyways. I'm looking into either the South, or out West.

Now, I know each state is different and everyone has differing opinions on the matter, but I'm just looking to see what some of you guys think are good areas to relocate to for tankers, and why.

Any and all help would be much appreciated. Heck, if you wanted to throw a few companies in with the location, I wouldn't mind either, but I a m primarily looking for states/cities/towns where it would be more prosperous to move to.

    Thanks in advance!

Charlotte NC, we have a lot of liquid as well as dry bulk tank companies around here.

I'm from the Hudson valley and enjoy it here.

If your looking south Louisiana or the Houston area are good areas for tanker.
Chicagoland and the N.W Indiana area is also good

I should have also stated that I'm looking to get into chemical/hazmat.

    Skydivedavec Thanks this.

    Nice! I'm assuming that's for chemical/hazmat?

Is it relatively reasonable living expenses and decent weather year round, out around there?

    Skydivedavec Thanks this.

Thanks! I never really thought about Chicago much because I despise that city, but definitely worthwhile looking into

Thanks! Do you know much about Groendyke Transport? I can't find much about them, but they seem very good...the same with Superior Carriers and Tidewater Transit, but I've found good enough information on them.
