I work for Superior Carriers, Carry Transit specifically. Im food grade liquid & dry-bulk. I just started driving a big truck & this is my 1st job. I love Carry Transit! Im in Iowa. Decent trucks but our fleet is being turned over to Kenworth now. My terminal is pretty outstanding & I dont have to harp on anyone to get any issues taken care of. Im single & no kids & my pay has been awesome for me; over $800 net every week. Feel free to PM me.

Most company websites have a list of their terminals. I would advise looking at them all and seeing what cities/areas have several different companies with terminals. You can pretty much bet those cities have several chemical companies to keep the trucking companies in business.

You definitely can't go wrong with the Houston area. I think it has the largest petrochemical industry by a long shot. Plus no state income in TX. South Louisiana and Chicago aren't bad choices either.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am actually looking into those states. I just didn't know if people knew anything different than what I've been finding out, doing as you suggested.

Do you still work for Superior? If so, how is that going, as they are up on my list.

Goose Creek near Charleston SC has a lot of chemical plants and Charleston is a major ocean port.

it's also a smaller city,( I don't like large cities).

SC has real low tax base.

I still work for Superior, in fact I just went to school about a month ago to become a trainer. Unless something drastically better falls into my lap I have no intention of leaving. I've looked around a bit in the past and while some companies like Trimac's elite team can offer a bit more in the pay department, I think the combination of pay, benefits, the people I work with, and just the general attitude of the company at Superior is hard to beat.

That's not to say it's a perfect company, or everyone will feel the same way, but for me it has been a wonderful fit.
