But if u can zoom into stock yellow ecm it looks like those exposed ends just plug and play. Not even the stock ecm has a threaded bolt and it just plugs into the extension coming off the yellow ecm
-
The part you're missing off your harness is stuck in the socket of the original ECM by the look of it. Compare the 2 side by side, you'll see what I mean.
-
You are correct, part of the harness plug IS in the old ecm on both plugs. This is what the plug looks like when correctly removed.Last edited: Sep 25, 2023

Ok I'll see if I can get needle nose pliers in there to pull piece outBean Jr. Thanks this.

I just reached inside the stock ecm and tried to yank on anything inside and nothing in coming out. That black sleeve attached to yellow ecm in held on pretty good. And there is nothing inside

If you look at my most recent post. Meant to reply to you but replied to another gentlemanBean Jr. Thanks this.

That stud, is it actually a bolt that threads in from the ECM side of the plug? Hard to tell in the pictures but looks like it.
If you stuck your harness into the new ECM looking like it does, there's a very good chance that is why it didn't run right. -
Are these the pictures ur referring too
