Removing blind hole pivot pin.

    I'm intrigued. Please follow up when you get that X%&*() out. I like the idea of drilling and taping but boy would that be a ton of work. Some sort of slide hammer??? I've had good luck heating a frozen bolt/nut and using candle wax to wick into the threads. Not sure if this would apply in this situation.

    I pulled severely rusted fifth wheel pins out by welding some good size thread rod to the pin and then slipped a 3/4 drive socket over the pin with the rod coming out of the socket hole where you would put a ratchet on it.
    Then I slid a plate with a hole in it over the rod and then a big nut and then hit it with the air impact gun.
    It will pull the pin out and up inside the socket.
    Hope I explained this so it’s understandable.
