I never understood how one can own a truck and not have wrenches and other related tools?

Yes do a rig dig report on a truck once you get serious about buying it. I nearly bought a truck with a rebuilt title, but didn’t after I caught it on there. The title didn’t say anything on it about it previously being a salvage title.

So basically all I need is the vin number to do it. Is it going to tell me the work it had done to it also

Yes it should. I actually used the CarFax website for mine and got a CarFax report, but I think the RigDig is supposed to be better for trucks.

The reason I started reading this post is because I had a truck with those ramps behind the fifth wheel. I torched the bolts and threw the ramps in the scrap bucket. No big deal at all to get them off.

They will charge you a fee for doing it. I don’t remember how much for sure. Maybe $5 or so.
