I am in the process of removing this from outside of my truck, I cut the plug off the end of the wires so I could thread it down the back of the cab, now I am getting a code...not sure what it is...does anyone have a clue?

Why didn't you just unplug the dang thing?? Sooner or later you might need to have one!
-
Not going to need it and tired of washing around it.
-
I sure hope this isn't a company truck...
Aside from that, how will anyone know what the problem is... without giving the code? -
It is not a company truck, it is my truck...the code is a symbol that sort of looks like a man seated wearing a seatbelt with an octagon shape in front of him

ck at fuse box pull 2wires they added will / stop code
-
Any idea where these would be located in the fuse box? The reason I thought it safe to go ahead and remove this, is that when having a/c work done we noticed that alot of the wire had already been cut under the dash, so I was just going to go ahead and take it off. After cutting wires I noticed that the gauges would not work after cranking, so I spread the wires apart where I cut it, then the gauges would work but the code came up

Get a bigger set of dikes.
-
Hah, I'd check instrumental cluster parameters (list on module IDs to check)
