razor blade and WD-40. Spray the WD-40 on the big spots were the adhesive got left behind then scrap it right off. Using heat will just make it a bigger mess.

Tint remover in walmart, razor blade and towels. Thats all u need. I took mine off before. If u hold a razor blade at the RIGHT angle it wont scratch the window. Peels off rly easy with a tint remover.

In the mid 70's I was on my back from Alaska, stopped in Whitehotse yukon for the night. It got very cold and I was out of Ether to start tyhe 318 Detroit. I had 2 Bottles of Everclear that I had picked up in Fairbanks. Remove a plug on the intake manifoled and gave it a shot of Everclear, started with no problems.

The old cabovers with 318/350's just run a hose down to the blower cut-off plate and dump a little gas down it when it's cold. Need a little more power on a hill spray some ether down it.
Seriously alcohol/lacquer thinner and a rough rag will take the glue off faster and easier than using a razorblade.Digitalwarrior Thanks this. -
Thank you all for responding. I brought truck home for weekend. Guess what I am doing Saturday morning!

That's what the tint guy told me that he uses. The windex probably has a small amount of amonia in it.Digitalwarrior Thanks this.

The job is done....took a couple of hours in total. I read all posts and then went with Windex, rags and razor blade. Had to run out and buy blades....dang...could not find mine in workshop.
I used a blow dryer just to warm things up as it was kinda chilly yesterday. I found some patience and voila. The Windex was a great tool for getting the "adhesive" off and just seemed to "loosen" it as I went. I went through a whole lot.....refilled my sprayer once.
Again, Thank you all for posting and helping me out. Very grateful driver here who can see again!!!

Good deal. There's nothing like a bad tint job.

I learned something myself about not destroying the defroster lines.
