I recently changed a seeping oil seal.They use a grease, that holds up real good. Went to a Penske garage, to ask where they buy it. Haven’t found it yet. $350+ for 5 gal. I’m told. Meanwhile I used oil. I’ve been worried about the old grease. Having 500 k on trailer now. But it was like new, and stayed in place on bearings. I’m sold on it. Now just have to find it.
Renting a Trailer, is it worth it? What is your experience?

Delo Synthetic Grease SFE EP 0 - Semi Fluid Grease | Chevron Lubricants (US)Last edited: Jun 28, 2019
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Yep that’s the grease.Finding it is another story, Haven’t found anything less than 5 gal. Pails. Yet.

well, at the very least, grease does not go bad just sitting in the container. keep the lid tightly closed. if you do not need any more of it, or sell off your equipment, that can be included in the deal?
it has multiple uses, heck, i'd use some on the 5th wheel, even put some into a grease gun for other lube points.>??Dino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
this is the cheapest price i could find, for a 35 pound container

Chevron Ultra-Duty Grease EP 2Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Oh man!!! Thanks a lot. I can live with that!!! I’m so sold on this grease, I’ll use it on everything with a wheel bearing.

@Rideandrepair
Is it the tube of Grease You're going to get or that 35 lb pail?
The description said the one in the 35 lb pail is good for construction equipment. I assume they mean for greasing the bushings.
If it's good for that I would imagine it would be excellent for your kingpins and probably everywhere else on the truck too.
That's the thing with grease. It's hard to find the grease that stays where you put it, doesn't get washed away with water, and can really handle the heat and pressure without breaking down. -
yes, the pail that i linked him to, does mention wheel bearings.
that would most likely be great too for boat trailers.
