Repair shop has put me up against the wall.

He drove it for a year, and got rid of it for the price of the overhaul...

 

Is there even any piece of heavy equipment makes it that long before everything else is wore out and shot?

 

You bet! I was working on a wheel loader not long ago with almost 30k hours on it. Some of those big mining shovels have 100k hours on them. Of course those get overhauled on 6 month long outages every couple years lol.

 

Those giant mining shovel/excavators are in a class of their own when it comes to heavy equipment. I was thinking like the D9 size equipment, the small big stuff.

 

Yeah we see a few 8's and 9's with close to 30k hours on them.
