I have a 2016 Pete MX-13 that's been in the shop for 6 months under warranty work now with no timeline on when it'll get done. I'm looking for part # 2298831PEX if anyone has any leads is greatly appreciate it.

Sorry, never realized there was more replies on this thread. We ended up finding a used one and putting it on. I think paid about the price of new before Covid. Kenworth programmed, and it's run fine since. One thing we did run into was the hours on the original ECM were about 7000, replacement ECM was 12000, and Kenworth says they can't change that. Seems ridiculous. That's a major drop in resale at face value. They updated the odometer to accurate but said they couldn't change hours.
Now we are on to replacing the next ECM in an older M11 Celect Plus. Fun and Games.

It's a very hard ECM to get inside to fix been getting more and more info yo get them done easier and quicker. My problem is with all the PACCAR units I will have slamed once I have it all figured out. I mostly been doing it on a test bases. I'm not charging what some of these places I been hearing about.

I know this is late, and you have since solved your problem but I thought I’d chime in on my experience. I too had problems with my 2014 paccar epa 13 (ecm part # 1877245 rev B) not accepting updates. Dealer tried to update and the ecm would lock up and give the msg “ecm locked, replace and try again” kw & paccar could not figure out the problem! Once it hit that error there was no programming in the ecm. Finally paccar said to hook the truck up to a battery charger and leave the key on for 24 hours. We weren’t very optimistic that it would work, but we did that and it worked! It reverted back to before they tried flashing the update and everything was fine. I just learned that that ecm has a known bug that paccar has since fixed in the superceded ecm’s. So if anyone reading this has the same experience, try the key on for 24 hrs route.
