I am trying to decide on whether or not to go ahead and replace the axle bearings and seals. What's going on is I have got a truck that's been setting for about 2 years and don't know if I should wait or not. Any opinions? It's only got 500k on it. Thanks

Just leave the seals at the beach....they prefer water ya know!
Been waiting so long to use that one.....so long!
Back to reality.....might as well,....better before you get out somewhere and have to call roadside. Plus, gives you a good close look at the "innerds" as they say! -
Let me give a little more info, the truck is not really going to be used for a while. It's going to be farm plated and I'm just going to run around in it local while I get it back in operating condition. I am already putting on 2 sets of brakes and just thought about doing those now and waiting on the others for a while. Some people have said just wait and see they might not leak and others say do them while I put brakes on.

I doubt there is any rust on the bearings if the oil was in decent shape before. The wheel seals will probably leak. Rust will creep in quite far into the seal lip area. Once that wheel starts to turn again the lip will scrap a bit on the rust. 50/50 chance. For what you plan to do with the truck, I would just run it.

I am also replacing the muffler and some piping, does anyone have any suggestions on type and/or where to buy? It's a 2000 w900. I would also like to know about the isringhausen seats that are in it. Sorry for all the questions, but I like to get as much info i can beforehand, and try to find good parts at good prices. Not just what a salesman is pushing. I did download a parts manual for the seats. Thanks

I have had a few issues with my ISRI's but the company has stood behind each and every issue (but one)
and I am ok with that so far.
ISRI are much more adjustable, but once I adjust a seat, it kinda stays put ya know?
#1 feature of my ISRI seats is memory. Whatever height you set it at, it will return to.
Even if all of the air leaks out and down..... -
Thanks for the advice. I am also trying to decide if it's worth the money to upgrade the suspension to an ag400. I found some of the build sheets in a drawer and it said it was an ag200.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
cbholister Thanks this. -
wheel seals are cheap change them why u got the brakes off 30 to $40 per seal and you know its done let them leak and get a dot ticket when they find the brakes wet
