Could anyone tell me the steps to replacing the thermostats on an acert c15? Already have the parts but everyone around home is busy with other stuff to work on. Fairly mechanically inclined so as long as it is a straight forward shouldnt be a problem to do, just curious as to the steps. TIA.

Its pretty simple...drain the coolant , remove the bolts holding the housing together, remove thermostats, and clean surfaces of housings. With new o-rings install the 2 new thermostats in the reverse order of teardown. After all the bolts are tight refill the coolant system with antifreeze and run truck to make sure of proper coolant level and flow.

yea, but most of them you have to remove the belt and alt to access the lower t-stat housing bolt, and its kinda fun to get the coolant sensor wiring loose from the housing but not to bad, just my 2 cents. just take time to look at it its pretty simple. should take you about 2-3hrs with hand tools. good luck
