3zj 425 horse. It has a wastegate turbo currently part #112-6918. In my research it's a garret gt75?? It seems to run pretty healthy, overhauled, fuel screws set, afrc turned to smoke a bit and I just went thru the aftercooler and all is good. I can get 21-22 max boost but if I pinch the line I can hit 30psi. Should I see that much difference in pinched vs open

Yes.
21-22 psi is within spec.
Dont pinch off the gate. It will not get you more power.
Sounds like its all working as it should.
If your egts are fine then leave it alone.
Should be a garrett gt47 frame turbo if i recall.Oxbow and Gambino1994 Thank this. -
I have a BW 177148 waste gated turbo on a 4MG, and I get 24 to 26 lbs. of boost, which is pretty close to what you get.
Gambino1994 Thanks this. -
Did you have a wastegated turbo on your 4mg before the 177148 oxbow? What was your boost with the cat turbo I wonder? I was going to get that exact turbo but this one seems fine
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Just the old stock turbo before. About 18 psi max with stock fuel settings - up to 27 or so if you turned the fuel screws out enough.

177148 is one of the best options.
The series of charger used is the generation before the GT series, it may be the same basic charger as a GT47 but likely older aero wheels.Oxbow Thanks this.
