Quote: "Trucks are very scary, especially when you are merging on the highway and you think they are going to run you down," says Lauren Johnson, 21, a public relations major at Northern Kentucky University who commutes from her home in Dayton along I-75 at least twice a week. "And when I switch lanes, I always freak out and hope they won't hit into my car. They are definitely a big distraction."
I wonder if she would freak out if there were no tofu at her Kroger because that big distraction wasn't on the road anymore?
I used to drive a pump truck and dumps and it amazes me how stupid people drive. I may be at a handicap here, I learned how to drive in Massachusetts ewhere the motto is "Get Outta My Friggin Way!"
My suggestion to her and those like her would be to stay off the highways and interstates. If you absolutely need to get on one, use your friggin mirrors and acelerator. This is what you kids call multitasking.photolurp2 Thanks this. -

As someone who now delivers gas and runs Cols-Dayton-Cinci on a regular basis, I can say that 80% of the people who drive I-75 between Dayton and Cinci should not be on the road in the first place. And with the construction going on now for much of the drive it's even worse.
I think they should have a graduated drivers license where you show your ability to drive on certain roads. And with that a corresponding license plate that shows that level. Have a local road plate, then a highway plate, then an interstate plate. If you are caught driving out of your licensed skill level you are ticketed and your car impounded.photolurp2 and Working Class Patriot Thank this.
