Does anybody know if Landstar makes any exception on hiring good driver with less than 1 year of experience? It sounds like LS is a good owner operating company to work for and I would like to get signed up... Any advice???![]()

Landstar does it very by the book. Look at the requirements on their website. I'm not going to say they wouldn't make an exception, but I SERIOUSLY doubt it!!!! The wait will be worth it. I enjoyed my time there.

There are several guys that are with them now, and I was but quit to be home more.

Thanx~ -
Can't you read whats been posted? The answer is YES.
Look on their website for their requirements, you will have your question answered.

Hey brick, how long were you a company driver before you went O/O?
-
Less than two yrs.
Where I got my start as O/O my brother bought a truck and put me in it. You could say I was O/O in training at that point. I had all of the responsibility of making things go, but he had a tight grip on the purse strings for about 2 yrs.
I've never driven for any of the big loser companies like Swift, JB, etc. I almost went to work for Knight, but then my brother bought a truck. Just because I didn't work for any of the big loser companies doesn't mean I didn't work for a small loser company for a few months. They really sucked.
