You gonna be driving a plastic PlaySkool truck around your momma’s basement if you don’t stop losing money on the loads you booked :)

    Again, Merry Christmas.

I’m tapping out of this thread, CIAO!

Sad he doesn't get it. Never understand how people can get in business and not see the basics in business.

Well that is good. How is that fuel milage going for you? Hopefully you don't have to idle all the time so your truck doesn't gel up!

I am pretty sure the man does very well. Check a look at his truck, His last truck was stolen and he was able to get past that and get another new one. Seems he is doing alright to me. I see you are not active on the forum and you might take some of the advise being given to you instead of acting like you know all and no one is doing better then that low freight you are doing.

Hopefully you learn a little off that load you did and can stop wasting your time. It is for sure my truck and trailer in my name. You are more than welcome to check it out if you ever want to join the Volvo Club. It would be a good idea to get some better fuel milage since you run for real cheap. What kind of MPG's are you getting in that old truck? Might be able to add it all up and see that a new truck would pay for itself in just fuel savings.

Yet you didn't know that Westrock was going to screw you. A company that is know for having piss poor logistics. The only thing that would surprise me less is you being screwed by an Exel warehouse.

You booked a load and delivered 5 hours late, even if Westrock had you out in a hour, you still would have been late. You promised what you couldn't reasonably deliver and got screwed.

In the future, under promise and over deliver. At the one hour mark on the first stop inform the broker that the excessive load time has jeopardized on time delivery and you WILL be late no matter what. Make the broker do their job and get things rescheduled while you're still getting loaded. It will make the broker light a fire under the first stop and probably the second as well (assuming it's still a westrock facility). Either way the reschedule should have been arranged before you arrived at the consignee. You knew well in advance what your eta was and failed to communicate it EFFECTIVELY to the broker and have detention fees in the rate confirmation.

This is what I know as a company shmuck who has never had to actually deal with brokers. I encourage you to spend a little more time on TTR, reading other driver's experiences and learning vicariously through them.
