Would rather have the company's shop find something , before DOT does on the side of the road, miles away from any where

I delever in the morning into the twin cities. Pulled into the TA in Hudson,Wi, lot full at NOON. 8 reserved parking spots , with 2 two already used. Went and checked, .Now sitting here watching trucks circle the lot waiting for someone to leave.

some TS get full on Saturday for Monday deliveries
others are empty until Monday afternoon
if you have a walmart dc next door
there is always a spot opening up -
I dont see a problem with reserve parking what I do have a problem with is that they did away with handicap parking to create these spots. Yea before I broke my leg I wondered why do truckstops need handicap parking but now i see there are handicap drivers that need to drive make a living and support their family weather long or short term handicap. So there is no way I will pay them to bump a handicap driver to the back of the lot so they can make an extra buck
volvodriver01 and 'olhand Thank this. -
The problem that I have with reserved parking is that if it's in a paid parking lot, they expect you to pay twice. Once for the reserved spot, and then again to leave the lot (unless you buy your 50g of fuel or spend $25 in the store).

what paid lots? Ontario? Jessup?
Yes then I disagree with that.
-
it is still if you don't like it don't use it
Ontario and Jessup have handicap and reserve parking
I am pretty sure -
You might want to call T/A and tell them the stores that eliminated the handicap spots. The ADA has requirements that they have a certain number of spots based off total number of parking spots and truck stops aren't immune to this. My guess is the Manager or Shop Manager that put the signs out just picked the 10 or however many easiest spots to get into and didn't think about them being handicap spots and having to have those spots open.drvrtech77 Thanks this.
