What do drivers do about having a residence? PO Box, Address if you are constantly moving around from place to place.
If one is away from the home a while to make money, do drivers not have a residence and just live in the truck full time.
What are some ways drivers have dealt with this issue?
Thanks

I was thinking about that too. It would be worthwhile to claim residency in a state that doesn't have a state income tax, assuming you aren't tied down anywhere. As to the P.O. Box, couldn't hurt to have one near a terminal where you come and go the most often.

A real add. is ness. You must have someone to open mail for you that you trust, the notice of LIC. sup. or any MED. card state lic. problems must be paid off or fix/up fast!

I'm getting a divorce but my future ex is cool with me using her address for the time being.

I thought about this myself, talking to my wife about it, the only way we could make it happen is if we wait till the kids are out of the house, then sell the house, and then have all our mail send to either the in laws, or my parents homes. then just live on the truck and come home every few months for a few days.

I lived in my truck for years and just used my dad's address for mail and license purposes. You have to have some valid address for your driver's license. Where you actually reside beyond that is just a matter of choice.

Satisfy my curiosity...How do you get a CDL issued by a state without an address?

Long time ago I worked in a small town office that did insurance and accounting and we processed a few peoples mail and kept track of certain things while they were gone. Just gotta find someone you trust.
