I want to have a better pulse on what is going on in the truck sales industry (both new and used)

Besides working directly with a dealer, are there any good online resources/websites out there you guys can recommend? Any tips on understanding trends, current market, and future projections? I want to be able to better understand if the cost a of a truck is fair, expensive or just straight out crazy. How do you guys ##### that?

Also, any tips on approaching dealers and building relationships with them? I want to be able to make a sound buying decision when the time comes...

    Appreciate the any feedback.

    Thank you!

If you pick out a category on truck paper that interests you… let’s say Kenworth T680… look and see how many are for sale overall week to week. Number go up, price come down. Number go down, price go up. Truck Paper tracks all of that stuff themselves as well on actual sale price trends so you may contact them for help as well.

You may also want to go and get on some auction sites like Ritchie Bros and check listings that have sold and live. You will not be able to build a relationship with a dealer without having a truck or knowing someone for the most part. I guess you could go mess with the salesman a few times and get a fill for them and when time comes work with that person.
