Truckers used to be well respected. I think it is the truckers themselves who have changed that perception. I think most are respectful and portray a professional image, but it is the minority who have changed public perceptions. When truckers tailgate, cut people off and trash the truck stops and highways with urine bottles and worst, it is behavior that is difficult to respect. Unfortunately, the actions of the few have had a negative effect on the majority.
