I didn't take them as slamming Providence for what it's worth.
Sad to see a company that is spoken of in a good way close it's doors/ be bought/whatever.
Hopefully the folks left in the cold will find a spot for their services and skills.
I like people employed. If I gotta suffer everyone else should have to.
I kid.

I worked for a guy years ago who had three crosses in the logo on our trucks. It was the most outlaw company I ever worked for. I used to regularly run between 3,600 and 3,800 mile weeks and be home on weekends (often more - I once did nearly 4,200 miles in 5 days). Needless to say, they went out of business a couple of years after I left.
I never got any W2 in the mail, but I filed taxes on the information from my last paystub (which were handwritten by the owner's mother who did payroll). Then I found out they didn't withhold a single dime. Not for Federal, State, City, or Medicare/Soc. Security. They did withhold everything on paper, just not in reality.
It took a while for me to get stuff sorted out with the government and let's just say they weren't too happy with my God-fearing boss. His blatant pattern of fraud led to his demise.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
By the way, I'm not bashing religion as a whole, just a hypocrite who tried to run his business by cheating in every way possible. I was on board with the outlaw trucking deal, but didn't take kindly to him messing with my money.
Mike2633 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -
