Do all rest area's charge to keep your rig there for the night? or is it just T\A's, Pilots?
-
No rest stops charge to park that I know of and not many truck stops charge to park either if they do charge to park usually you can buy things in the store and you will not be charged to park
-
There is no rest area that I know of that charges, but man I see those creepy crawlers of all sorts, and don't plan on using them.
what I want is ideas of places to park -
ive never seen a rest area charge b4. and only truck stops that charge for parking that i been to,are on the east coast and west coast..ie Ontario,CA T/A's(east, west) and a few other placesm on I-10.and dotted up and down the east coast. apparently us truckers make millions and ppl like to cash in on us.but a rest area ive never heard of charging b4.unless your ticketed in west Virginia for staying to long.lolwhich hasnt happened to me,but have heard of it happening b4

Some Wal Marts will let you park in their parking lots

Good, quiet, safe, and legal parking spots are similar to good fishin holes...never tell anybody where they are at.
Because if everybody knew about them...they'd be just like all the other places.NachtFrost and Injun Thank this. -
There are tons of places to park your truck. Make observations as you drive up and down the interstate, you'll notice large shopping centers/abandoned shopping centers/wide frontage roads/dirt lots next to McD's etc. Look for other trucks that are parked there already. In a perfect world, you would want all services available with-in walking distances, right? Just watch out for ghetto areas in large cities. Most truck stops are free. You have to pay in large cities on the west coast and some east coast areas.

You can park at some of the coops......They're usually free unless you blow your HOS or get caught with a deficiency on your rig....
-
I was personally invited to park there one time for 10 hours.....
MackDaddyMark Thanks this.
