I got stuck with a weekend Hazmat load. It's the first I've had in four years of driving and I'm a bit rusty on my rules. It's paint. Class 3 flammable, 1263 and it has an extra day and a half's time on it before delivery. Will it be legal for me to park it and check into a motel for a restart? I spoke with my company's safety department for a general brushup this afternoon, but didn't think to ask about this part and there won't be anybody there that would know the difference until Monday. Thanks.

Ya man...s'ok. BOL on seat face up and I RECOMEND a note laying aside telling where the driver is. ( Like RM 222 or call the driver # BR-549 )

Do the drill....lock and chock and try to park under the lights. Tell the motel it's yours too. It will be fine....

You're okay. It's Division 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 (explosives) that you have to stay with.

Do like chalupa says and maybe get a window view of the truck so you can keep a random eye on it.
