Definitely need more available trailers at the yard. .

Example. . I'm fortunate to live close enough to the yard that I drop my truck and trailer there. . Unhook and leave the trailer available (because I'm not an ahole).. return and all the trailers are red tagged or loaded. . Even though a driver is there and available we are unable to be dispatched.

Another complaint. . Ok I was an ahole and stayed hooked to a trailer on home time at the yard. . I parked next to TWO owner ops that were ALREADY on the yard and on home time hooked to empty trailers. .(thursday afternoon)..I receive a phone call saying were getting a master key.. moving your truck and taking the trailer. . Ok it's not my ##### trailer..I return to the yard on Sunday. . The 2 owner ops are still hooked to their empties.. I'm available and no trailers even though there are loads available.

I waited till Monday mid morning before an empty was available. . And the owner ops were still on home time when I left. .

I know trailers are limited. . Drivers not living close to the yard don't have this problem. . Their trailers stay with them. . But if you're going to take my trailer. . Take EVERYBODY'S trailer. . Don't matter if your company. .LP or driving a 7 series truck. . If it's fair for one. . Its fair for ALL.

Or I could start taking the truck and trailer home and then I don't have the problem. .lol

Now my blood pressure is up. . :)

I dropped 2144 Saturday Empty. Whoever owns a silver Durango from Tx parled in front of it. 2 drivers i talkd to were lookn for an Empty. Drivers like to red tag trls to so nobody take em. I think shop shud stamp the tags so we can tell if there dummy tags or not. I have even seen gladhand looks from drivers b4

I saw that guy from Texas move his vehicle in front of that trailer. .I thought he was just doing it so that he could bobtail to the FJ and fuel then come back. . But your right, he was parked there still when I left Monday morning.

I checked my settlement. . Like I said before. .I went home last week because I was having a difficult time with loads running on recap.

I had 1, 700 miles and took 4 days off. . My take home is $511..

I deliver tomorrow mid morning. .I shut down a little early in an attempt to save some hours and set myself up for a load over the weekend.

After delivery I have 2, 700 miles with 3 days to run. .

Meeting went very well, lots of good changes in the upcoming months.

I did mention the trailer issue, once the old trailers are filtered out it shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand if you've been here for awhile you should know where to find an empty if one isn't at the yard.

I was there on Sat night and there was four trailers available at Ceva and Musicians friend. Just have to be a bit resourceful, think and ask a question. The other option, grab an old trailer if available and go drop it off at Utility (since they bought them) and pickup a new one but that's hard to do on a weekend.

As far as the Durango... if someone would take the time and check that trailer number with Ken that night, you would've know it was already assigned and under a dispatched load.

I've done that in the past also... trailer is assigned and under load...but not hooked up to truck.

Anyways... like I said good changes coming. Have a great weekend.

I've asked about getting an empty from another facility and the answer was/is "we can't do that".. anyway it all works out. . But at the time it's a PIA.
